Invertebrates For Everyone is a website dedicated to those with an interest in learning about invertebrates but don't know where to start. Designed for a wide range of people, this website is an easy way to start learning about invertebrates and how unique each group is.
What are Invertebrates?
Invertebrates are animals that lack a spine, or a backbone. Invertebrates make up 97% of all known animal species, making them much more abundant than vertebrates (animals with a backbone-like humans!). They are found in virtually every habitat and can survive extreme conditions. They can be found in arctic or tropical areas, can live high up in mountains or at the bottom of the sea, and can live in humid rainforests or dry deserts. Though all lack a backbone, invertebrates are extremely diverse. This website will expose you to the fascinating world of invertebrate diversity!
Below are different phyla of invertebrates. Phylum, the singular form of phyla, is a term used to categorize broad groups of life. Click the photo of the phylum you want to explore to learn more about it!
